The Harry Potter Boxed Set would be one of the better gifts to give loved ones for special occasions. It tells the story of a young modern-day boy named Harry Potter who discovers that he is, in fact, a wizard. He is then sent to a school filled with magic and mayhem as he discovers more about himself and the parents that was lost to him, killed by the greatest dark wizard to have ever lived while they were trying to save him. He meets a lot of friends while unraveling the secrets of the past as it propels him forward, towards adventure.

The Harry Potter Boxed Set is composed of all seven titles of the Harry Potter series. The first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, begins with Harry being accepted into the Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Magic. As he starts the 1st year of his schooling as a wizard, Harry (and readers as well) is initiated to the wonders of the school and the story behind the death of his parents. Each of the books that follow tells the story of Harry as he moves up in age and year level in Hogwarts. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets continue the story on Harry’s second year. Here, he tries to solve the mystery of a diary left behind by one the students of Hogwarts as it affects the current students of the school. On his third year, in the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry is targeted by an escaped criminal reputed to have a hand in the deaths of his parents. He then comes to terms with the knowledge of the murder of his parents and wrestles with the idea of revenge. The fourth installment, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, lifts off on Harry’s fourth year, the holding of the tri-wizard tournament, and eventual rise of Voldemort, the main antagonist in the Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, outlines the efforts of select wizards as they deal with the resurfacing of Voldemort on Harry’s fifth year. The sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, though it continues the story on Harry’s sixth year, it focuses more on the effects of the wizarding war started by Voldemort. Lastly Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, concludes the seven part tale as Harry discovers the secret behind Voldemorts power.

The Harry Potter Boxed Set, though categorized as a children’s book, is a collection of stories people of all ages can appreciate. These books are a treasure and will provide loved ones with hours of fun reading and a lifetime of fond memories.
