Ron Weasley’s wand is famous in the story for the fact that it was a hand-me-down from his older brothers until it was broken and replaced by a new one. Fleur Delacour’s wand was known because during the weighing of the wands in the Goblet of Fire, Mr. Ollivander said that it was made from Veela hair and are used for temperamental wands which can be mainly attributed to the fact that veelas in the book are beautiful creatures who turn ugly when provoked. The most popular of the Harry Potter wands is the Elder Wand used by Albus Dumbledore, the Hogwarts Headmaster. It was very famous in the story because the Elder Wand is supposed to be a very powerful wand that when it is used by its true master, no one can be able to defeat him in a duel. The possession of the Elder Wand was supposed to pass on to Snape when Dumbledore arranged for the former to kill him. Unfortunately, Draco Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore of the wand which allowed him to become the master of the wand until Harry disarmed Malfoy which in turn made him the true master of the wand.
In the movie, when looking for a wand, the method used to find out which wand would be proper for the wizard or the witch is to try and use it until the correct wand finds you. The composition of the wand may vary from unicorn tails, phoenix feather, and several others which may come from magical creatures.
