The Cinemas Versus Harry Potter HD DVDs

by Karolina on September 22, 2011

Fans of Harry Potter would have a problem when the last two movie installments finally come out. Their dilemma would be so perplexing that they would have trouble sleeping at night. The predicament that requires the most meticulous of decisions is this: would it better to watch the last two movies in the cinemas or at home with a Harry Potter HD DVD? What’s the big deal anyway? Whether you watch it in the movie houses or the comforts of your own home, it would make no difference at all, right? It’s the same movie wherever you watch it… or so you think. Apparently, it makes all the difference.

Cinemas have this certain oomph to it. You go there with the intent to watch a movie and have a good time with friends. The bigger than life screens and stereo that produces sound you can actually feel is just absolutely epic. In the cinemas, you are focused on what’s going on and there absolutely no disturbances. Plus, you get to watch it as soon as the movie is out. Waiting for the Harry Potter HD DVD means, everybody else has watched and you’re left out. On the other hand, one of the advantages of getting the DVD is its cheaper price. You can also watch the movie in the comforts of your own home anytime and as many times as you want. Though the screen may not be as big, and the sounds may not be as loud, if you miss anything in the movie, you can just play it back. So the difference is, if you’re going for the fun and expensive excitement, go watch in the cinemas. The DVD would be the cheap and convenient alternative.

So does this mean DVDs lose out and there are no reasons at all for you to get a Harry Potter HD DVD? On the other hand, the cinema experience would be all the more reason for you to purchase your own DVD. Imagine the fun that you had with friends and family in the cinemas. This same fun can be relived in the comfort and convenience of your own home with your very own DVD. If you’re looking for the best experience, do both. Watch the movie in the cinemas, then, get a hold of your own DVD copy.
