The Harry Potter book and movie series have made quite an unprecedented following that many would want to keep the characters and everything the movie represented alive. Because of this, related merchandise and many other items are being created including these Harry Potter cards. The HPTCG is both a strategy card game and one that is bought for collection purposes. What you will see in the cards are characters, creatures and other situations based on the seven Harry Potter novels.
These Harry Potter cards are made by the company Wizards of the Coast in the year 2001. It was actually created to compete with other popular card games at the time such as Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! card games.
